Licensing
How PrestaShop Security Engine licenses, activations, and downloads work.
What you receive
After Paddle verifies payment (server-side webhook — not the browser success redirect alone), we create your customer account, order, and license, then email your license key and account setup link when needed.
License key
- Format similar to PSE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
- Lifetime by default (no expiry date) unless otherwise stated
- Statuses: active, suspended, or revoked
- Shown in your purchase email and customer account; store it securely
Domain activation
Activate the key inside the module for your store’s domain. Hosts are normalized (lowercase, www. stripped). A configured activation limit applies (default one production activation unless you change server settings). Staging patterns such as localhost may be allowed without consuming the production slot, depending on configuration.
Moving stores
Deactivate the previous domain when required, then activate the new production host. Contact support for legitimate migrations if you are stuck at the activation limit.
Downloads
Authenticated customers with an active license can download the module ZIP from the account download page. Download links are short-lived signed URLs and are logged.
API
The module talks to our licensing API over HTTPS to activate, validate, deactivate, and heartbeat. Invalid or revoked licenses should not be used for commercial production operation.
